Contribution Rules

  • To contribute you must be a resident of Manitoba.

  • Total contribution limit for candidates for Mayor is $1,500.

  • All contributions must be received by credit card or personal cheque.

  • No contributions from unions or companies.

  • No anonymous contributions are allowed.

Rebate Info

  • Contributions between $25 and $300 the rebate is 75% of the contribution. Example: $300 contribution = $225 rebate.

  • For total contributions between $301 and $1,000, the rebate is $225 plus 50% of the difference between the contribution and $300. Example: $1000 contribution = $575 rebate.

  • For total contributions of more than $1,000, the rebate is $575 plus 33.3% of the difference between the contribution and $1,000.00. Example $1500 contribution = $741.67 rebate.

  • Contributions of less than $25.00 will not receive a rebate.

  • Rebate application forms and instructions will be sent to donors by the official agent post election. To receive the rebate, you must complete a rebate application form and mail it in to the City Clerks Dept by Dec 26, 2023.

  • Rebates will be processed by the city starting in Sept, 2023.
